LAHORE (Dunya News) – Minister of the Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan stated on Saturday that the deadlock in the parliamentary committee formed to formulate the Terms of References (TORs) catering the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue does not seem to be ending, reported Dunya News.
Nisar said that the slogans of the Opposition were mere rhetoric, adding that the Opposition parties wanted to target Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif not corruption.
Interior minister stated that his stance over Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) involvement in corruption was firm. He further stated that effective accountability was needed in the country.
Nisar said that the matter of accountability needs to be dealt with seriousness and needs not be used for political gains.
