LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Tuesday said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will deal with the former officers of the Railways who signed the ‘corrupt deal’ with the Royal Palm Country Club.
Addressing the media conference, Saad Rafique said he has reservations over court’s interim decision. He said he will fight the battle for national assets until his last breath.
He said as per court’s interim order, Railways will retain possession but the administration of golf course, restaurants, banquet hall, cinema has been returned to the old management until the next court order.
The federal minister said he was accused of asking for bribe to strike a deal with Royal Palm Country club, adding that death be upon such persons. “May God’s wrath be upon the liars,” he said.
Saad Rafique said former General Manager Iqbal Samad and those who signed the agreement will be dealt with by NAB and actions have been sped up.
Following the press conference, Royal Palm Club’s administration also tried to hold press conference in the same hall but were stopped by the Railway police after terming it against the court order.
