KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Wednesday stated that the party was being accused of being involved in the murder of qawwali singer Amjad Sabri, reported Dunya News.

While addressing a press conference at Muttahida’s headquarters Nine-zero, Farooq Sattar said that the cap of Sabri’s murder was being placed on Muttahida’s head, adding that “the (size of the) cap was small whereas the head was big”.

MQM leader said that artists in the country were concerned over their inappropriate security. He criticised Interior Minsiter Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan over his announcement of the inclusion of 20 thousand retired army personnel in Sindh police and suggested that 20,000 unemployed youngsters belonging to Karachi should be trained and included in the police force instead.

Muttahida’s nominated mayor Wasim Akhtar visited different areas of Karachi after the downpour. While addressing the media, Akhtar said that officials were not fulfilling their duty and the public was suffering as a result. He also discussed the problems faced by the people during his visit.
