Summary Pakistan stands in strong solidarity with Turkey in fight against terrorism, reads FO's statement

LONDON (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif among international leaders have strongly condemned triple suicide bombing at Ataturk Airport in Turkish capital, reported Wednesday.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif issued a statement in London where he is recovering after an open-heart surgery.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and opposition party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan have also expressed their condemnation.

Leaders of the European Union and United States have condemned the attack on the third most busiest airport of Turkey that claimed at least 36 lives and wounded over 100.

According to spokesperson of the Department of the State, President Barack Obama was informed about the attack and the United States of America has assured Turkey of every possible support in tragic times.

European Council President, Donald Tusk, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande are among the other who have expressed solidarity with the bereaved Turkish families.

On the other hand, in a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan offers condolences to the grieving families and to the brotherly people and government of Turkey at this hour of grief.

He reiterated that Pakistan stands in strong solidarity with people of Turkey in their fight against terrorism.
