QUETTA (Web Desk) – Death toll in blast near Quetta’s Almo Chow reached seven as another victim succumbed to his injuries at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Monday morning, Dunya News reported.

As per details, 8-year-old Rizwan was shifted to CMH three days ago in critical condition but he could not survive.

On Friday, a device weighing six kilograms went off with a big bang killing 27 others on Airport Road near Almo Chowk.

Senior local police official Chaudhry Manzoor said there did not appear to be a target, adding: "The purpose was to trigger panic and terror."

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but Balochistan province, of which Quetta is the capital, is home to a separatist insurgency that has been raging since 2004.

The province borders Iran and Afghanistan and has been the target of Taliban and sectarian attacks.
