ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Advisor to the Prime Minister (PM) on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Sunday stated in an interview that Pakistan wants meaningful dialogue with India over a number of issues. He added that the United States tried to curb the country’s nuclear programme, reported Dunya News.

Sartaj said that Pakistan has made prominent achievements in the war against terrorism, adding that indiscriminate action is being taken against terrorists.
He said that the terrorists’ infrastructure in North Waziristan has been destroyed. He stated that the situation of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria is before the entire world to witness.

Advisor on foreign affairs stated that Pakistan intends to hold meaningful dialogue with India, further stating that conspiracies against the country will have no impact upon the relations between Pakistan and China.

Sartaj stated that Pakistan faces the drone strikes issue because of the policies adopted by the previous governments. He said that the current government has decided not to compromise over national security. “117 drone attacks took place in 2013. Only three (drone attacks) took place during the ongoing year,” he said.

While talking about Afghanistan, he stated that better border management is in the favour of both Afghanistan and Pakistan. He said that reconciliatory process while keeping in consideration the Afghan people shall continued to be carried out.
