Summary Discussion regarding improvement in ties between both countries will be held during the meeting
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office spokesperson on Saturday stated that delegations of Pakistan and Afghanistan shall hold a meeting on June 20 in order to lessen the tension between both neighbours. Afghan delegation shall visit Pakistan on the invitation of Advisor Foreign Advisor Sartaj Aziz, reported Dunya News.
The spokesperson said that the Afghan delegation shall be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalil Karzai. He further added that the Torkham border dispute along with other matters related to border issues shall be discussed during the meeting.
Furthermore, discussion regarding improvement and stability in bilateral ties will also be held during the meeting, said the spokesperson.
Earlier, the FO spokesperson released a statement stating that the representatives of Pakistan and Afghanistan met in the morning, adding that the border gate was opened after the offering of a prayer.
Only passport holders in Afghanistan will be allowed to enter Pakistan.
