Summary Morai said that he relinquished his post and left Karachi on advice of important minister
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Fisheries ex-chairman Nisar Morai on Friday made striking revelations before the Joint Investigation Tribunal (JIT). Morai stated that he was appointed Fisheries chairman on the orders of an important political personality, reported Dunya News.
Morai revealed that he contacted two important personalities in order to be appointed as Fisheries chairman and was appointed upon the instructions of one of those persons.
He also stated that Vice-chairman Sultan Qamar Siddiqui used to give 5 million rupees as extortion to a person named Kamran.
He said that he removed a number of people from the Fisheries department who were involved in gang war, adding that gang war leader Uzair Baloch threatened him when he took such steps.
Morai stated that he had to re-appoint certain workers after he received threats from Baloch. He added that he left Karachi and relinquished his post upon the advice of an important minister.
