LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reform Ahsan Iqbal said on Friday that government’s 1300 Mega Watt energy project had been initiated in Port Qasim, Karachi, reported Dunya News.

Addressing engineer’s Iftar dinner on Tuesday, Ahsan Iqbal said that 2018 Pakistan would be able to produce electricity from its own coal reserves,. He said that no one could deny the importance of Gwadar Port and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as it would be the best investment and employment creating opportunity. Pak-China friendship was a guarantee of regional stability, he added.

Iqbal also revealed that in no time Chinese technology would be introduced among the Pakistani youth.
