Summary Sources state that a number of MNAs demanded an increase in their salaries
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A number of Members of National Assembly (MNAs) on Friday boycotted the National Assembly’s (NA) session before the beginning of Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s speech as a protest against the attitude of various ministers, reported Dunya News.
According to Najaf Sial, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) MNA elected from Jhang, around 70 to 80 governmental members walked out of the assembly before Dar began his speech. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif negotiated with these MNAs and convinced them to be a part of the proceedings once again.
Sial stated that these MNAs were representing millions of people from their respective areas but the ministers were not willing to address their concerns.
Sources also indicated that a number of MNAs demanded an increase in their salaries as well.
