Unrestricted expenses: Punjab govt spends millions over security, lawyer's fees

Summary Large sums of money were spent to install electricity generators at PML-N head office, CM residence

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sources indicated on Wednesday that the Government of Punjab spent millions of rupees over the security of the Governor’s House whereas millions were also paid to an official lawyer dealing with certain cases of the provincial government, reported Dunya News.

One hundred million rupees were spent on the security of the Governor’s House in Lahore and the exact same amount was given as fees to an official lawyer.

Large sums of money were spent to install a 100 kVA generator at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) head office in 96-H Model Town and one at the residence of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif. The two generators cost eight million seven hundred seventy thousand rupees.

Contrast was there to be observed as the government provided funds worth rupees three million, one hundred eighty-six thousand to Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Malik Zahoor to proceed with his heart surgery whereas patients suffering from Tuberculosis (TB) demonstrated the previous day because of unavailability of medicines.
