PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – People belonging to various villages in Peshawar took to streets on Monday to protest against the prolonged loadshedding in outskirts of Khazana area.
Power cut continues in Khazana and surrounding villages during the holy month of Ramazan.
The loadshedding has forced the residents to come out of their homes and stage protest against the outage.
The protesters blocked the Charsadda road for traffic which resulted in long queues of vehicles.
The people also chanted severe slogans against Pesco and siege the Khazana police station.
Heavy contingent of police reached the scene to control the situation.
SP Rural Shakirullah Bangash negotiated with the protesters but they refused to open the road for traffic.
