Summary Government never wanted to probe Panama Leaks with transparency: Shah Mehmood Qureshi
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan convened a meeting attended by party leaders at his residence, he directed to mobilise party workers and commence countrywide awareness campaign after Eid ul Fitr against Panama Leaks, reported Dunya News on Sunday.
Furthermore, PTI had decided to consult other opposition parties after which the party would announce of their final decision to boycott the parliamentary committee formed to probe Panama Leaks issue.
PTI Chairman also met Shah Mehmood Qureshi and briefed him over the deadlock between the opposition and the government.
Qureshi said that the government never wanted to probe Panama Leaks with transparency and that the party would try to convince other parties over its stance. It was of no use to attend further meetings of the very committee, Qureshi added.
Meanwhile, the opposition parties included in parliamentary committee had decided to seek guidance from their party leaders. Senator Aizaz Ahsan said that he would plan further strategy in the coming session of the opposition.
