Summary Farooq Sattar was present inside his residence when Rangers conducted raid.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Spokesperson Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday stated that Rangers surrounded MQM convener Farooq Sattar’s residence while the party has expressed extreme concerns over the very act by the Rangers and demanded their withdrawal as soon as possible, reported Dunya News.
Dr. Farooq Sattar was also present in his residence and stated that Rangers’ contingent surrounded his residence from the front door and back door.
Earlier, his wife talked to Rangers official and asked for a search warrant, Sattar said.
Latest reports revealed that Rangers surround came to an end as they had been looking for MQM MPA Kamran Farooqi but abolished the raid over his absensce.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to observe a day of protest across Sindh today (Wednesday) against Rangers raid.
The protest call was given by the MQM Coordination Committee which also appealed the people of Sindh to keep their businesses shut and transport off the road in protest against Rangers raid at Dr Farooq Sattar residence on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar has warned that no strike will be observed in the city and those trying to forcefully shut the markets will be dealt with iron hand.
