Summary No progress in Haleema murder case as suspected murderer Rizwan still not found

KARACHI (Dunya News) – No progress has been made in the Haleema murder case as police could not find the suspected murderer Rizwan, Dunya News reported on Sunday.

Haleema’s ex-husband Iqbal has been found but he gave contradictory statements over giving divorce to his wife. He said that he divorced Haleema because her character was suspected. Iqbal also told that he did not come to Karachi because he was not well.

Chaudhry Iqbal remembered that he and Haleema got married in Qayyumabad but he did not remember that the date or year in which they were married. He also said that he did not know Rizwan.

Iqbal’s son Ansar gave a contradictory statement that his father did not divorce Haleema, she had asked for divorce herself. Both Iqbal and Ansar said that they would cooperate with police in reaching murderers.
