LAHORE (Dunya News) - Scorching heat has taken over majority areas of the country as Dadu and Nawabshah sweated it out with the mercury hitting 46 degrees Celsius while 45 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Sukkur and Mohenjo-daro, reported Dunya News on Friday.

Lahore has also hit a new high of temperature making it to 44 degrees Celsius while hot and dry winds battered the citizens. 44 degrees Celsius had been recorded in Jhelum and 43 degrees Celsius in Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.

Meteorologists had predicted rain in several northern areas in next 24 hours while it was likely to rain in
some areas of Quetta, Hyderabad, and Karachi.
