Summary Raids shall be carried out in future to ensure betterment of public's health: PFA officials
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Officials belonging to Punjab Food Authority (PFA) raided various factories that were involved in making unhygienic drinks, sweets and chocolates. The officials also curtailed different culprits involved in selling adulterated milk, reported Dunya News.
The factories that were raided by PFA were located at Kacha Jail Road and Peco Road as almost 2200 litres of unhygienic drinks were disposed off. Furthermore, the water being used in one of the factories was also unfiltered.
The workers belonging to the chocolate factory did not even have any medical certificates with them whereas there was immense filth around the entire area as well.
A large quantity of adulterated milk was disposed off after being confiscated from the Badami Bagh area. PFA officials state that such raids shall be carried out in the future as well for the betterment of the public’s health.
