ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Yet another meeting of the Parliamentary committee made to finalise the formation of the Terms of References (TORs) regarding the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue ended fruitlessly as the deadlock between the government and Opposition members persisted, reported Dunya News on Tuesday.

Opposition members protested over the remarks made by Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique resulting in the cancellation of the meeting upon the request of the government side.

Prayers for the quick recovery of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif were also made during the meeting. While addressing the media after the meeting, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the government does not seem concerned over the formation of the TORs, adding that the governmental ministers are disrupting the environment.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan stated that the attitude adopted by the government representatives hints that they are trying to protect the Sharif family from being investigated.

Next meeting of the committee is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 4:00pm.
