Summary Formation of Joint Intelligence Directorate need of the hour, experts say
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Not a single penny was spent from the funds worth Rs 1.6 billion allocated to the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) for the fiscal year 2015-16 specifically for the Joint Intelligence Directorate, reported Dunya News on Monday.
Funds remained unused primarily because of the absence of a building under the use of the Joint Intelligence Directorate whereas experts have stated that formation of the Directorate is the need of the hour.
Despite the fact that NACTA was unable to spend any money on the making of the Directorate from the previously allocated funds, the institution has demanded Rs 1.8 billion from the federal budget for the fiscal year 2016-17.
