Rains hit Lahore, Lesco feeders trip in different areas

Summary Power supply has begun to restore in different areas

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Power supply was affected Sunday night owing to gusts and rain in different areas of the provincial capital, reported Monday.

Downpour and gusts turned the weather pleasant while Ichhra, Samanabad, Baghbanpura, Dharampura, Taj Bagh and Iqbal Town among other areas were blacked out.

Service road from Charing Cross to Governor House was shut after a tree gave in against strong gusts.



However, power supply has begun to restore in different areas.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), dust-thunderstorm/rain is expected at isolated places of Hazara, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in coming 48 hours.

Temperature in Lahore is stagnated at 26 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperatures today, according to the meteorological department will be in Sibbi, Shaheed Benazirabad 49°C, Moenjodaro 48°C, Sukkar, Padidan, Jacobabad, Dadu, Larkana 47°C, Rohri and Rahim Yar Khan 46°C.
