Summary Govt members say that Opposition's TORs cannot be accepted in their original shape

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The parliamentary committee formed to formulate the Terms of References (TORs) regarding the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue has yet been unable to make compromise as both parties, government and Opposition, are unwilling to agree to the other side s suggestions, reported Dunya News on Friday.

Government members have disagreed upon the TORs presented by the Opposition as the former party wants the name of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to be removed from the TORs.

Opposition members Aitzaz Ahsan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi have also verified about the persisting deadlock and have further stated that the PM s name from the TORs can be removed if the government agrees upon rest of the TORs in their original form. The members further added that the government can make additions if it wants to in the TORs but the Opposition will not step back from its stance.

However, government members state that the Terms of references proposed by the Opposition cannot be accepted in their original shape.
