KARACHI (Dunya News) – Crackdown against criminal elements continued in Karachi as police arrested six more accused, including a gang war operative, during operations in different parts of the city on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the law enforcement agencies apprehended an activist of a political party during an operation near Call Pull. Sources said that the arrested person was shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
At least two accused were taken into custody in injured condition by ACLC police after an encounter in Liaquatabad FC area. Station House Officer (SHO) of ACLC, Ishtiaq Ghori was also wounded in exchange of fire and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
On the other hand, police arrested a gang war accused belonging to Uzair Baloch group during a search operation in Kalakot area of Lyari. The arrested gang war accused was identified as Shahzad alias Babul.
Two accused involved in street crimes were taken into custody during police operation in Clifton’s Boat Basin area. Police have also arrested three private security guards for exhibition of arms.
