Summary Sindh Chief Minister (CM) has demanded a report of the incident from IG Sindh.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The case for an incident involving the killing of 2 traffic wardens near Aisha Manzil area of Karachi has been registered Saturday in CTD’s Garden police station. The Counter Terrorism has launched an investigation of the incident. The case, registered on Traffic Police’s Section Officer Sajid’s request, includes sections of murder and terrorism.
According to the details, CTD’s higher officials visited the attack site late at night. They analysed the possible entry and points of the terrorists involved in the murder.
Two traffic police officers were gunned down near Aisha Manzil area of Karachi earlier on Saturday afternoon at around 1: 57 pm.
According to police, unknown armed men riding on a motorcycle approached the policemen and shot both of them in their heads. The deceased have been identified as Shakeel and Kamran.
Bullet shells of 9mm pistol have been recovered from the attack site.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants also took away the ammunition of the wardens with them as well.
Dunya News has obtained the CCTV footage of the incident which shows the two attackers, wearing helmets, escaping after the firing.
Grieving scenes were seen in the hospital as families of the martyred wardens were beside themselves upon hearing of the incident.
Traffic police’s duties were suspended in sensitive areas after the attack while Sindh Chief Minister (CM) has demanded a report of the incident from the Inspector General (IG).
