LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif Saturday stated that India was supporting terrorists and separatist groups in Pakistan especially in Balochistan. He stated that the issue of Indian terrorism had been raised internationally by Pakistan.
Talking to Dunya News during the program ‘Mahaaz’, Asif stated that Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) ‘beloved’ Husain Haqqani had lobbied against the provision of F-16s to Pakistan by the US.
Meanwhile US State Department’s Spokesperson, John Kirby, during a media briefing, denied the news of Pak-US relations ‘going cold’. He stated that the US had a key relation with Pakistan and on which the US had complete confidence.
Referring to Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz’s recent statement, Kirby stated that both countries were facing similar dangers and threats while their interests were similar as well. He added that the US thinks Pakistan and Afghanistan still face the danger of terrorism.
Kirby further stated that the network of terrorists are using the border between both countries as safe haven.
