Summary Addressing sit-in, Mehmmod ur-Rasheed demanded immediate resignations from PM, Punjab CM
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – United Opposition on Thursday held a protest sit-in outside Punjab Assembly. Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood ur-Rasheed demanded immediate resignations from Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion, reported Dunya News.
Holding the protest sit-in at Cheering Cross outside Punjab Assembly, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and joint Opposition leaders and their supporters raised slogans against the government as well.
Mehmood ur-Rasheed told PM to resign for the sake of national stability and interest. He also demanded resignation from Punjab CM.
The joint opposition comprising Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid, Pakistan People’s Party, Jamaat Islami and PTI will continue holding sit-ins outside Punjab Assembly every Thursday till their demands are met.
