Summary PM says in parliament he'll discuss things about parliament, and in commission those related to it
LAHORE: (Web Desk, Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has on Thursday said that Opposition’s goal is to get him not to curb corruption. He said that he’d discuss in parliament only the things that needed to be discussed in the parliament while those to be discussed before commission would only be discussed before the commission, reported Dunya News.
Talking to journalists at Islamabad Airport upon his return from Dushanbe, Nawaz said that he was determined to appear before the commission to answer the allegations regarding Panama Leaks. He added that he’d discuss in parliament only the things that needed to be discussed in the parliament. “I wish that Chief Justice sets up the judicial commission as early as possible”, he said.
Prime Minister said that the government would consider the recommendation of getting Panama Papers investigated by National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He further stated that the opposition wanted to stop him, not the corruption.
“Some people didn’t want Nawaz Sharif from the very first day”, said Nawaz Sharif. He added that the country wouldn’t be able to progress in a politically hostile environment. “Negative style of politics has damaged the country previously as well”, he said.
