CJP takes suo moto notice of arrest warrant for in-service LHC Judge

Summary CJP dismissed the warrant and ordered a hearing of the case on 17th May.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali Wednesday took suo moto notice on the issuance of an arrest warrant for an in-service Judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC), Justice Mansoor Ali Shah. The bailable arrest warrant was issued by Federal Ombudsman for Protection of Women Yasmeen Abbasi

According to the details, CJ Jamali took notice after learning of the incident in the news. CJ Jamali dismissed the arrest warrant and has issued a notice to Abbasi and the Attorney General.

CJ Jamali has also ordered a hearing of the case in open court on 17th of May.
