MULTAN (Dunya News) – A woman named Shaheen Bibi attempted self-immolation after her husband threatened her of getting a second marriage during a dispute between the two in Jatoi area of Muzaffargarh. The woman succumbed to her injuries in Multan’s Nishtar Hospital Sunday night.
According to the details, the woman committed the suicide attempt after being disheartened on her husband threat of marrying again. She tried contacted the police however no action was conducted after which Shaheen Bibi dowsed herself in petrol and set herself on fire due to which she suffered severe burns on her whole body.
Shaheen Bibi was immediately shifted to Multan’s Nishtar Hospital after her suicide attempt but she could not be revived.
The woman’s family said that her husband used to quarrel with her on daily basis.
