ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has stated that closing education institutions every time an important person visits an area is a ‘retrogressive’ approach, Dunya News reported Tuesday.

PTI leader criticised Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif after he visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Bannu district today.



Khan wrote on a social media platform that he has directed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to take notice of closure of schools in the area during Prime Minister’s visit and take action.

PM Nawaz paid a visit to Bannu today and announced construction of a university in Lakki Marwat. He further announced Rs 200 million development package for the locals.

The Prime Minister also announced construction of an airport in Bannu.

The premier had visited Mansehra last month and delivered an address at Hazara University. The institution remained closed for two days owing to Prime Ministers visit.

Boys  hostel was vacated while female students were instructed to remain in their hostel for 24 hours.
