Summary Significant developments expected in next 72 hours regarding the Panama Leaks commission issue.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali reached back to the country late Friday night after a visit in Turkey. Jamali’s return was being anxiously looked upon as significant developments are now expected in the next 72 hours regarding the Panama Leaks’ commission fiasco.
Government had earlier on April 22nd had finally written a letter to the Chief Justice, requesting him to head an investigative commission for probing into the Panama Leaks case. Prior to his departure to Turkey, Chief Justice Jamali had only given the letter a cursory read to the letter.
The government had finally caved into the demands by the Opposition parties, calling for the government to writing the letter. However despite this arrangement being agreed upon, the commission formation suffered further problems as Opposition parties rejected the government’s Terms of References (TORs) that were set in regards to the investigation commission.
