Summary Rangers reached the assembly after learning about the news
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Staffers seized a pistol from an aide of private television channel’s anchor in Sindh Assembly during a session, Dunya News reported Friday.
Both the anchor and his aide were arrested on directives of Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal.
Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani summoned a report of the incident while the Interior Minister vowed to take action against the staffers who let the armed man in the assembly.
"Home Minister is sitting right here, he should put an inquiry on this," said the Speaker adding how could a person enter the assembly with a firearm.

Meanwhile, Rangers reached the assembly after learning about the news.
Members of the assembly criticised the securty arrangements while some stated that security personnel had barred the man from entering but the anchor ’got him in’.

Pistol placed on desk before it was given to the Speaker
Security guard of the assembly gate was suspended while a team led by DIG Munir Sheikh will investigate the matter.
