Summary Arrested commander Sindhi was a close accomplice of the central suspect in Daniel Pearl's murder.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Thursday managed to apprehend a key Al-Qaeda commander, Abdul Rehman Sindhi, on the identification of the intelligence department. Ammunition was also recovered from the suspect. Police officials claim that the suspect’s name is included in the most wanted list of the United Nation.
According to the police officials, arrested commander Sindhi was a close accomplice of Saud Memon, who was the central suspect in the killing of US journalist Daniel Pearl. Police have stated that Sindhi had also been working for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
It was also revealed that the apprehended terrorist had also met the notorious Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan in 1996.
An interrogation regarding Al-Qaeda and TTP network is being conducted from the captured terrorist.
