ISLAMABAD (Dunya New) – Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday has ordered re-election in Sindh Assembly’s constituency PS-22 Naushahro Feroz.
A three-member bench under Justice Saqib Nisar conducted the hearing during which, the court ordered re-poll in the constituency after mutual consent of both parties.
The court has also directed to communicate this order to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
During General Election 2013, National Peoples Party’s Arif Mustafa Jatoi was declared winner in PS-22 but the candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Abdul Sattar challenged the elections in Supreme Court.
The petitioner pleaded to the tribunal to declare the election as void.
