Summary 94 people indulge in adulterating were arrested and 402 challans have been sent to courts.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Ministry on Thursday told National Assembly that crackdown against people selling substandard milk and meat is underway in Islamabad with full swing.
NA was informed that cases have also been registered against 60 milk-sellers whereas 4380kg infectious meat has been wiped out after seizure.
Besides this 94 people indulge in adulterating were arrested and 402 challans have been sent to courts however; no case of haram meat’s sale has yet been surfaced in the federal capital.
The ministry was also told that seven monitoring committees are working to prevent the sale of harmful products.
Moreover, it was said by the ministry that provision of budget and funds for National Action Plan (NAP) is the responsibility of provinces.
The provinces are implementing NAP from their own available resources.
