Opposition leaders endorse Imran's demand of address via PTV

Summary opposition has announced to organise protests if Khan is not allowed to address the nation on PTV

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition leaders have backed the demand placed forward by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan regarding his address to the nation via the Pakistan Television (PTV), reported Dunya News.

Khan has made this demand after Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif used the very platform to voice his opinion and clarification in the wake of the Panama Leaks.

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah stated that PTV needs to do live broadcasting of the speeches made by opposition leaders as well.

Awami Muslim League (AML) head Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that PTV operates upon the taxes paid by the people and that Imran Khan must be given an opportunity to address the nation.

PTI spokesperson Naeem-ul-Haq stated that national institutions are the property of the nation. He added that if Imran Khan is allowed to speak through the platform, he shall address issues that concern the people.

The opposition has announced to organise protests if Khan is not allowed to address the nation through the platform of Pakistan Television.
