Summary Siddiqui accepted the murder of 12 people in the initial phase of the investigation

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Masood Siddiqui, brother of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Qamar Mansoor, has been handed over to the Rangers on a remand for a period of 90 days by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday, reported Dunya News.

Siddiqui was apprehended from the Paposh area and was presented before the ATC. Rangers’ law officer presented the stance before the court that the perpetrator has accepted his involvement in extorting and target killing. Siddiqui accepted the murder of 12 people in the initial phase of the investigation.

The court granted the Rangers request to hand Siddiqui over for further investigation and handed him over in their custody for a period of 90 days.

The court asked the Rangers to present the Joint Investigation Tribunal (JIT) report regarding Siddiqui within a periof of 15 days.
