Summary Experts believe that frozen accounts for a long time may lead to water shortage problem in the city
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) sources on Friday have stated that Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) owed Rs 1 trillion with respect to withholding tax after which FBR has frozen 3 accounts of KWSB, reported Dunya News.
FBR has recovered Rs 1.5 crore after which KWSB has written a letter to FBR after the accounts have been frozen.
KWSB administration said that due tax amount owed is worth Rs 17 hundred thousand and also stated that accounts have been frozen due to technical fault which will soon be reopened.
Experts believe that frozen accounts for a long time may lead to water shortage problem in the city.
