ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –. Talking to the media on Friday Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that only Prime Minister (PM) and President can address to nation on state television, reported Dunya News.
Imran Khan’s address to nation on Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has sparked a news discussion and the government has openly opposed the proposal.
Rashid said that if government allows Imran Khan then every other member with a single seat will demand to do so.He said that address is aired on the TV after permission by National Assembly (NA) Speaker and Chairman Senate.
Equal time is given to the government as well as the opposition in news, he said. The Minister also said that Imran has addressed the nation in sit-ins. His press conferences and address in rallies is covered by the media, his demand to address the nation on PTV is just a political ploy, he ended.
