ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi called on Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah to discuss opposition parties’ course-of-action after Panama leaks, Dunya News reported Thursday.

The two leaders held a meeting in the Parliament House.

Qureshi and the Opposition Leader in NA agreed to raise Panama leaks issue in assembly’s session. Qureshi said that stance of PTI, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is unified over ownership of offshore companies by politicians.

He said that opposition parties are forming a joint strategy over the issue. The PTI vice-chairman said that opposition has three options to tackle the issue. Parties could approach Supreme Court (SC) while options of raising the issue in the Parliament and people’s court are there as well.

On the occasion, Khursheed Shah ducked a question about him demanding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation.

Earlier this week, Panama Papers published concealed documents leaked from a law firm. At least 140 world leaders were exposed as offshore dealings and tax evasion was revealed on their part.

Evidences against Nawaz Sharif’s family among 200 Pakistanis had surfaced.
