Summary Qaim Ali Shah presided a meeting based upon the situation of law and order in Sindh and Karachi
KARACHI (Dunya News) – After the arrest of an Indian spy involved in various acts of terrorism across the country, Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Wednesday ordered concerned authorities in the province to make the intelligence network more functional in order to cater such elements in an effective manner, reported Dunya News.
Qaim Ali Shah presided a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House. The meeting was attended by provincial Interior Minister Sohail Anwar Sial, Director General (DG) Rangers Bilal Akbar and Inspector General (IG) Sindh AD Khawaja. The law and order situation of the province and Karachi in particular was discussed in the meeting.
The presence of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing’s (RAW) network in the province was also brought under discussion. It was decided in the meeting to speed up the targeted operation against the criminal entities present in Sindh.
Sindh CM also called for a meeting of the apex committee on Thursday. Qaim Ali Shah also ordered concerned authorities to enhance the intelligence network operating in the province and to make it more effective. He also directed to increase the presence of intelligence officers, dressed in plain clothes, around sensitive locations.
Qaim Ali Shah also stated that it needs to be ensured that the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), who migrated from their areas of living as a result of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb, return back to their homes.
He also ordered to tighten up the security of Chinese nationals and engineers living in the province.
