Summary Interior Minister says no negotiations being made with demonstrators

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minster of the Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan announced on Tuesday evening that the government has decided to evacuate the D-Chowk today (Wednesday) from the demonstrators, who have arranged a sit-in there for the past three days, reported Dunya News.

While addressing the media late in the evening, Nisar said that the attendees of the chehlum of Mumtaz Qadri promised to peacefully disperse. However, one faction of the attendees disregarded their word and even tried to politicise the entire situation.

Nisar clarified that the government is not negotiating with the demonstrators and also said that there will not be any political dialogue with the protestors in the future as well.

Nisar said that the dignitaries who have arrived from Karachi are discussing the matters with the protestors. However, if the deadlock is maintained then the government will evacuate the D-Chowk on Wednesday, Nisar stated.

Interior Minister said that a majority of the protestors involved in causing wreckage have been apprehended and the video footage of the rest is available as the targeted arrests will be made.

Nisar further added that a committee has been formed in order to find the loopholes in the administration.
