Summary Five arrested in various parts of the country, believed to be working for RAW
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Five accomplices of the active member of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) Kulbhushan Yadav, who was operating in Pakistan and was arrested last week from Balochistan, have been taken into custody from various parts of the country, reported Dunya News.
All five arrests were made upon the indication of Yadav. In the light of the investigation carried out against the Indian agent, intelligence agencies raided various areas in Karachi, Punjab and Balochistan and arrested various individuals believed to be linked with Yadav.
According to sources, another agent of RAW by the name of Deepak Kumar Prakash was arrested from Qalat. Kumar was linked with RAW through an undercover officer who worked for the Indian High Commissioner. Sources state that Kumar went to India in 2014 where he was given 50 thousand rupees and his visa was extended. Kumar’s brother lives in India, who was given an amount of 4-5 hundred thousand rupees, the sources state.
Intelligence agencies have also captured another RAW operative by the name of Nadeem Aknikal from Karachi, whereas another aide, Mohammad Shafiq, was also arrested from the same city.
Sources stated that two intelligence agents of the Indian agency were arrested from a sugar mill in Punjab. Both culprits used to provide engineering consultancy in the sugar mill
According to the sources, Yadav and his network of aides wanted to target the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and certain areas of Karachi.
