Summary Enraged relatives destroy doctor's car and motorbike on Sheikhupura Road after incident

FAISALABAD: (Dunya News) – Alleged mistake by doctors cost a mother and a son their lives in Faisalabad on Friday. Enraged relatives blocked Sheikhupura Road after the incident in protest and destroyed the motorbike and the car of the doctors, reported Dunya News.

According to detail, 25-year-old Parveen Akhtar had been brought to a private hospital on Sheikhupura Road for delivery but died during delivery and the child also died. Furious relatives broke the window glass of the hospital afterwards. Hospital owner Dr Shafiq left his car out of the hospital and fled. The enraged protesters blocked Sheikhupura Road for traffic and set the doctor’s car on fire.

Later on, the protesters also torched two motorbikes. They kept Sheikhupura Road blocked for 2 hours and demanded arrest of the doctor. Earlier too, two people had died in the same hospital due to doctors’ negligence. Police arrived on the scene in large numbers and the road was opened for traffic after negotiations with the protesters.
