ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister of Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Sunday criticised Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) over its attitude over the Pervez Musharraf case, reported Dunya News.
Nisar termed PPP’s behaviour as ‘biased’ and ‘hypocritical’ adding that the party which is protesting the most over Musharraf’s departure, abided by rules such as National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) during its tenure of governance.
“Where were your democratic values when you were in power?” Nisar inquired from PPP.
Nisar further added that in the committee investigating Benazir’s death hinted towards Musharraf’s possible involvement in the case, but the-then rulers did not dare raise an eye towards Musharraf.
Nisar said that Musharraf’s name was not even added in the Exit Control List (ECL) despite of a First Investigation Report (FIR) registered against him.
“Is this a joke or what that those who presented Musharraf with a guard of honor are staging a political drama over his departure abroad?” he said.
