KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two dacoits riding a motorcycle late Saturday night gunned down an officer, Waqas, of the intelligence department in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 5 near NIPA chowrangi area while attempting to loot him.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East, Faisal Chachar, both robbers also sustained injuries due to firing by the officer. One of the injured suspects was arrested who succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police have recovered 8 bullet shells from the scene of the crime.
Police are on the hunt for the second suspect. The killed officer had been appointed for the security of the family of a high officer of the intelligence department.
