Lahore: CPWB arrests child abuser group, recovers one minor

Summary Children were first abducted, then given intoxicants and then sexually assaulted by the group.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) on Sunday conducted a raid in an illegally built shanty town near Data Darbar area in Bhatti gate, Lahore. The Bureaue arrested a group responsible for sexual violence against children who also used to administer intoxicant injections to minors.

According to the details, two children, Kaleem and Ali Raza, registered a complaint to CPWB team stating that children are abducted and then brought to the slum where they are intoxicated by administering injections and then subjected to sexual violence.

CPWB’s team, accompanied by police, raided the area late at night and arrested 3 felons Ali Raza, Zeeshan Ali and Maulvi Akram while a child named Haider was also rescued.

Haider along with other 2 children have been shifted to the CPWB. A case has also been registered against all 3 suspects in Bhatti gate police station.
