LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former President of Pakistan and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Friday stated that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his government was responsible for the Dr. Asim Hussain case fiasco.
In an interview given to a private television channel, Zardari stated that they did not want a conflict with anybody but only to work with the system.
Defending former Federal Minister and chairman Ziauddin Group of Hospitals, Dr. Asim, Zardari stated that someone running such a huge hospital cannot provide the facilitation for the treatment of terrorists.
Zardari further stated that it was he who had had saved PM Nawaz from those who had conducted massive protests and added that democracy would have derailed if he would had started supporting the demonstrations.
He stated that his party can form a grand alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan but he will not do that.
On a question about his return to the country, he stated that he has no desire to be buried in New York and will be returning to Pakistan.
