Summary Summary for joint session meeting with plans to approve multiple bills sent to PM
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A summary regarding the arrangement of a joint session of the Parliament on March 10 in order to approve bills catering to different issues was sent to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday, reported Dunya News.
This move is being seen as a new strategy devised by the government to approve the bill regarding the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) after it was rejected by the Senate few days before.
Other bills that may be introduced in the House include the Bill on amending the law against honour killings and a similar amendment in the Anti-rape Bill 2015.
The Privatization Commission Second Amendment Bill 2015, Gas Theft and Remittances Collecting Bill 2014, Civil Servants Amendment Bill 2015 and the Immigration Amendment Bill 2014 are among some other bills to be approved during the joint session meeting.
