Summary After 1 hour struggle, 4 fire tenders took control over the fire
KARACHI (Dunya News) – 20 huts blazed into ashes as intense fire broke out taking over slums near Gulshan-e-Iqbal area on Thursday; however, no causality has been reported so far.
Slums in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi suddenly caught intense fire and took over the whole area. The fire went out of control and took over 20 huts.
According to the witnesses, people ran for their lives. Police reported that 4 fire brigades were called in and after operating for an hour, fire fighters took control of the fire.
Fire caused huge financial damage to the families living in the slum however no causality has been reported yet. Fire fighters said that the reason of the incident is still not known. The damage left several families homeless.
