Summary IHC grants more time to prosecutor yet again in order to scrutinise records for different cases
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court bench granted more time to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor in order to defend the appeals it has registered in various cases against former president Asif Ali Zardari, reported Dunya News.
The bench was composed of Justice Noor-ul-Haq Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah. The accountability court had ruled Zardari free of any charges in ARY gold and Ursus tractor references because of lack of evidence.
NAB appealed against the decision made by the accountability court which declared Zardari innocent in both the references. NAB prosecutor yet again asked for more time to defend the appeals as the bureau was collecting records relevant to the cases against the former president.
The hearing of the case was postponed until indefinite time period after NAB’s plea was accepted by the court.
